driving and parking tonight at Python Atlanta

Brave Python Atlantanists -

The calendar finally proclaims that our meet-up is tonight!

Because it has been several months since our last meeting at the GTRI
Food Processing Technology Building, let me say a few works about
driving and parking.

The facility is entirely fenced in, with a guardhouse at the driveway
that opens on to North Avenue; you have to use that entrance, so if you
approach from Northside Drive you will have to turn east on to North
Avenue and then look immediately for the driveway on your left.

Here is a long, ugly link that will show you the right building on
Google Maps in case you need directions:

And here is a "Street View" glance at the entrance itself so that you
know what it looks like; use your mouse to drag if you want to look
around and see what the street looks like.

Parking is always more than adequate; the trick is getting inside! Once
in, just drive forward, and either park immediately around the circle
that you will cross, or keep driving and you will find a parking lot on
overlooking the circle. We are in the building that is immediately on
the left as you are entering the gate - so once you are in the facility
and are looking back down at the guardhouse, it is the building which is
next to the gate, on the right.

When you pull up to the guardhouse, say "I am here for the Python
Atlanta meet-up." If they are in a good mood, they will let you in
without any further questions. But sometimes they will want to see ID,
or even have you sign a guest register. If they are completely
confused, "Colin Usher" is the name of the person who is generously
hosting us at the facility. And I myself should be there by 7pm -
either already inside the gate, or in line with you outside of it, so at
least you will not be facing the situation alone. :-)

My mobile phone number is[masked] in case anyone gets into any
trouble and wants to speak with me. We have some good topics lined up,
and I look forward to seeing everyone!
