Python Atlanta is tonight:
And I have good news! Our own Skylar Saveland has volunteered to do a
lightning talk tonight, on the "Pinax" toolkit for Django. Check it
out; its goal is to prevent Django developers from having to re-create
themselves, each time they build a site, dozens of standard web features
that don't come built into Django itself:
Carl Karsten is still on schedule to fly in this afternoon, join us for
dinner, then give us a pep talk on the wildly successful A/V effort at
this past PyCon and how we will be working to make it happen here in
Atlanta this coming February. Tomorrow, anyone who wants to help can
join us at the King Plow Arts center to set up A/V equipment for
Saturday's "iPhone Camp Atlanta 2009" (which will also have a track for
Android developers) where we will be filming meetings and presentations
to get more practice for PyCon.
Finally, I'll be giving a talk about Sphinx, the documentation system.
We heard a bit about it late last year, but I want to give a more in-
depth guide to using and customizing it that gets you from square one to
having good documentation for your project.
As usual, email me ahead of time if you're joining us for dinner at 6pm
at Figo (at the corner of Howell Mill Road and Huff Road), and I hope to
see you at the meeting at 7:30pm at our spacious and comfortable meeting
room in the GTRI food processing building. RSVP here:
