Please join us on May 3rd for another night of self-tracking presentations, sharing lessons learned and the exhibition of QS tools.
We'll be at Stanford this time, so be sure to RSVP early to grab your spot. Ideally talks will be in the Ignite Plus format but there's flexibility if you really can stick to 7.5 minutes (plus 7.5 Q&A) of your own planning. Lisa and Karen will be hosting. Lots of fun will be had. :)
Map and directions can be found at: http://bit.ly/HkLCHI
More information on directions and parking is at: http://www.gsb.stanford.edu/about/directions.html
Anyone else who would like to volunteer, please write to us bettslacroix at gmail dot com or ktherzog at gmail dot com. It's a great way to meet people!
6 pm – 7:00 pm SOCIAL HOUR AND WORKSHOP
Think: "science fair" for adults. If you have a self-tracking project, gadget, app, or idea you'd like to share or demo, but you don't want to get up and talk about it, the workshop hour is perfect for you. You don't need to have a prepared talk, or permission to show something. Just come and bring what you have. We will have tables and power strips where you can plug in a laptop if you like, but paper is good too. If you are making something useful for self-trackers – software, hardware, web services, or data standards – please demo it in this workshop portion of the Show&Tell. Please let the organizers know you will be bringing something to Show&Tell so we can be prepared for you.
7 pm – 8:30 pm QS SHOW&TELL TALKS
If you'd like to talk about your personal self-tracking story, please let us know in your RSVP so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need. In your talk, you should answer the three prime questions: 1) What did you do? 2) How did you do it? 3) What did you learn?
We recommend using IGNITE PLUS Following in the footsteps of our inspiration, the SF group.
Why Ignite Plus? Instead of 20 15-second slides, Ignite Plus format is 30 15-second slides for a total of 7.5 minutes allowing for a second 7.5 minutes of Q&A. We will have space for 5 presenters.
Don't know what Ignite means? Click here for more info and here for tips on how to deliver a fantastic quick-fire presentation.
If you'd like to present please contact us, so that we can discuss the experiment you’d like to share. We're best reached at bettslacroix at gmail dot com or ktherzog at gmail dot com.
