Ok could we drop any more New Generation lines in that last email...ha ha. I mean "number one" refers to Riker and "Engage" from Picard. I think we should just make it so and start everyone as an ensign (as long as I dont get the red shirt).

Brian, I'd have to say I agree with you in PRINCIPLE but Claire is just talking about Meetup Titles. It's a clever way to reward your long term members and contributors. It plays into a Trekkie stereotype i guess that fans sit around and fall into rank structure like the show. I wouldnt know really. I think a strength of Claires is that she wouldnt allow a pecking order like that. It's all in how you approach this "spirit of Meetup" thing. Number One, anybody can form a fan group, getting people to engage with that Meetup philosophy is another.
