Announcing a new event for Greater NYC Ron Paul Action Group Manhattan+!

Mandatory Event for people who Canvassed...

When: Tuesday, January 29, 6:30 PM

Come when you can, anytime after 6:30pm...

This is a critical part of our campaign!

Please finish most or all of your canvassing packets by Tuesday Jan 29th!

We now need to mail official-looking letters from Ron Paul to these people on the issues they care about.
Finish your packets by Tuesday and bring them so we can stuff and lick envelopes.

What To Bring: (if you can)

1. Standard Size ENVELOPES for mailing 8 1/2" by 11" paper
2. STAMPS
3. MONEY FOR ENVELOPES OR STAMPS (preferably just bring the stamps/envelopes)
4. Print these out and bring your share of them: "Ron Paul Letters On:" http://www.ronpaul2008.com/get-involved/downloads/

Bring all your completed canvass/precinct leader packs Tuesday!
This should be mandatory for anyone who canvassed!

Wednesday should be the absolute last day you mail out letters. Come stuff envelopes with us tuesday night.

You can still canvass after this date, but you really have to pin people down and ask for their vote if you do so. It's harder for people to make a decision on the spot, and there isn't going to be enough time to reach all these people on the phone. There won't be enough time to mail them more info and see if they read it.

I think it's best from Wednesday on, to use your time calling back those people who you canvassed already who took literature and ask,

"How did you feel when you found out who Ron Paul was?" or
"What came of the literature on Ron Paul that I left you...do you have any questions?"

...followed by "Does Ron Paul have your vote? And if not, what information do you need to make up your mind?"

Only when they say YES HE HAS MY VOTE do you remind them of the date, February 5th, and ask them if they know where their polling site is.

Btw people...
This is a process that takes time for people to digest; first they get a visit, then a letter, then a phone call. That's the best method. By then, if they are with us, they will tell us. We add them to our get-out-the-vote list. I know a lot of you have put off canvassing until last minute. That's not the best way to win a political campaign; now you learned. When was the last time someone introduced an idea to you, and on your first hearing it you decided to commit 100% fully to it? Practically never! So do you expect strangers to do the same thing? You could try...but...you really should be done with the bulk of your canvassing already and focus on phone banking from wednesday on. More info TBA.
