Meetup Description: Rallies to End the Fed were held nationwide yesterday. That means we're all free, right?

Wrong.

It is now time to redouble our efforts and remind Congress that if we are dedicated and vigilant, we can threaten their careers with our votes and voices.

H.R. 1207 to Audit the Federal Reserve is now up in the House Financial Services Committee. As New Yorkers we have 6 congresspersons who serve on the committee, which is nearly 10% of the overall committee membership. They are:

Rep. Peter King (3rd)
Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (4th)
Rep. Gary Ackerman (5th)
Rep. Gregory Meeks (6th)
Rep. Nydia M. Vel?zquez (12th)
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (14th)

The Campaign for Liberty is now conducting a massive petition drive to push the bill through committee and to have it pass in Congress. It now has 92 co-sponsors. We have decided to supplement their efforts with our own Pinkslip to Congress to put the Fear of the People back into our representatives.

If we flood their offices, they will have no choice but to vote the bill through and Audit the Fed, which will ultimately lead to its abolishment. Please join us in this effort at Old Bridge Deli this Wednesday.
