The 13th of this month falls not on a Friday but on tomorrow, a Tuesday. So does Drinking Skeptically. Take it as a sign. With election madness at ebb tide and holiday madness not yet in overdrive, it seems clear that if the Universe could intend, it would intend for us to gather tomorrow evening for a bit of sanity.
Where: Beerhive Pub, 128 S Main Street, Salt Lake City, downstairs.
Food and drink: Totally optional. If you wish, order food and drink (beer, wine, pop, water) upstairs. On slow nights, they’ll bring it down to you when it’s ready. On rare busy nights, you may need to run back up and retrieve it yourself.
When: Tomorrow, as in Tuesday, November 13 (second Tuesday of the month). People usually straggle in between 7:00-ish and 7:30-ish and stick around till 9-ish or 9:30-ish.
Agenda: Be serious. An agenda would require forethought, planning, and effort. We find it easier to let myriad, concurrent conversations emerge from our collective cerebral soup. Some of the conversations flourish and adapt while others die off. Is it just me, or does that have a familiar ring to it?
