Old Cars, Pin-up Models and Timeless Art

Oops! Entry to Gathering on the Green including museum entry is $7 if you tell them you're from Meetup (otherwise $10.) So, instead of paying extra to visit the museum, everything is included for one discounted fee. Sorry for the confusion.

I need a volunteer for this Meetup. We have ~60 RSVPs between the two groups. Many will wander off on their own but others will want to travel as a herd. I need a 1 or 2 volunteers to lead the herds.

I'll greet members in front of the main building as you enter the winery. The first herd will take off at 10:15. If needed, a second herd will depart at 10:30. There will be 2 models in each of the 3 museum buildings and 5 models at the Gathering on the Green. The Green is the area in front of the museum bisected by a stream.

Please DO NOT ask models to get into, onto or under cars. Please DO NOT TOUCH the cars or exhibits. Expensive damage has been sustained in the past by visitors. We don't want Meetups to be "persona non grata" for future events.

The Gathering on the Green is $7 for Meetup members (just say, "I'm with the Meetup group) which includes the museum ($8 value) and one free glass of wine tasting. Kids under 9 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

On Sunday, June 10, Deer Park Winery (http://deerparkwine.com/home.html) in Escondido will celebrate its grand re-opening with Gathering on the Green, a mini-Concours d'Elegance. The centerpiece of this event will be a restored 1929 Pierce-Arrow convertible. Anyone driving any pre-1976 automobile will receive free entry to the Deer Park Museum and parking on the green (as long as space is available.) The event runs from 10AM until 3PM.

Photographers can take photos of pin-up models with their favorite cars. Cuties for a Cause (http://cutiesforacause.com/), an Escondido-based group of professional and amateur pin-up models will be on hand to pose with the cars to add that special "pop" to your photos. In return, Cuties will ask for donations to support ArtHatch (http://arthatch.org/), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to introducing and supporting youth in art. This should be of particular interest to serious photographers interested in the art of photography.

Just to clarify - Gathering on the Green is $7 (for Meetup members) and includes entry into the museum plus a free glass of wine in the tasting room (for those over 21.) Kids under 9 are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
