NEWTON CANYON WATERFALLS / BACKBONE TRAIL - CALAMIGOS RANCH / M-CAFE FOR FOOD!!

6 MILE WATERFALLS** HIKE...

followed by the INCREDIBLY INTERESTING M-Cafe at Calimigos Ranch

( there's a REALLY friendly COW... a Merry Go Round... a large POND with Paddle-Boats and a TERRIFIC restaurant with great burgers and Mimosas and LIVE MUSIC till 3PM )

**Waterfalls may be slightly "underwhelming"

give yourself 1 hour 15 minutes drive-time from the west side

Leave 9:15 AM to get there on time and park

Restroom at trail-head

Elevation change is nominal... approx 600 feet. We'll be going at a relaxed pace.

From PCH... turn inland on Kaanan Dume road. The parking lot is approx 4.5 miles up-hill, just 1/4 mile past the tunnel on the left.
