PARKER MESA OVERLOOK via LOS LIONES or TRIPPETT RANCH / POTLUCK ON THE PEAK

(the original hike has been changed since they cancelled the Earth Day Festival in Topanga this year.... so... we're making our OWN Earth Day)

since PARKING is sometimes TRICKY at Trippett Ranch, we're leaving from 2 LOCATIONS and converging at Parker Mesa about the same time!!!

start hike at either:

1. TRIPPETT RANCH or

2. LOS LIONES ( 1/4 mile up from Sunset and PCH )

If we leave at the same time, we should all converge on Parker Mesa at about the same time (Trippett Ranch is a little longer while Los Liones is a little steeper)

BOTH groups will leave at 11:15 sharp

DIRECTIONS to Trippett Ranch:

From the Ventura Freeway (101), exit at Topanga Canyon Boulevard, drive south over the crest of the mountains and proceed three miles to Entrada Road (not Entrado!) and turn left. Keep to the left at every opportunity until you reach the park's main parking lot (about one mile)

From Pacific Coast Highway, travel north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, pass the post office at the center of "town," then turn right on Entrada Road. Keep to the left at every opportunity until you reach the park's main parking lot (about one mile).

Parking is $10.00 (exact change) in Park. There is some street parking (free) outside of the park on the road.

Bring at least 1 qt of water

Sorry, no dogs allowed as this is a state park

DIRECTIONS to Los Liones:

PCH to Sunset make a right; 1/4 mile up Sunset make a LEFT onto Los Liones, drive to the very end for parking
