COOPER FALLS 5 MILE HIKE / NEWCOMBS RANCH 4 FOOD / 2 MILE HIKE to COOL-ASS-ROCKS

COOLER HIKE UP IN THE MOUNTAINS!!!!!!!!! gonna be approx 79 degrees up there, 97 in the valley!!

SCENIC 5 mile hike along SHADED trail to COOPER FALLS following a small stream...

COOPER FALLS will probably have a small amount of water in it after the rain this week

1. MEET NEWCOMBS RANCH AT 10:30 AM

( leave West Side no later than 9:00 AM )

2. Get "Adventure Passes" ($5 per vehicle) and a cup-o-Joe

3. CROWD everyone into as few cars as possible

4. Leave Newcombs for Buckhorn / Burkhart Trail at 11:00

( limited parking - 6 miles away )

*** do NOT go straight to the trailhead unless your car is totally full, as there are only 20 parking spaces and it's usually half full with other hikers

5. HIKE!!! (5 miles round trip - 900 feet elevation change)

6. After hike, drive back to NEWCOMBS RANCH FOR GRUB

7. AFTER DINNER, drive to "COOL ASS ROCKS" (3 miles away) - also known as "John-Henge" for a 2 mile hike / rock scrambling and sunset
