EAGLE ROCK / TOPANGA CANYON - TOPANGA DAYS / LIVE BANDS / FOOD / LIBATIONS

The hike meanders thru oak trees and winding trails, around several rock formations approx 5.2 MILES roundtrip past Eagle Rock. 750 Ft elevation gain. GREAT for beginners. We'll stop on top of Eagle rock for at least a half hour to rest / relax / snack and check out a couple small caves. Should take AROUND 3 hours AT A RELAXED PACE.

DIRECTIONS:
From the Ventura Freeway (101), exit at Topanga Canyon Boulevard, drive south over the crest of the mountains and proceed three miles to Entrada Road (not Entrado!) and turn left. Keep to the left at every opportunity until you reach the park's main parking lot (about one mile)
From Pacific Coast Highway, travel north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, pass the post office at the center of "town," then turn right on Entrada Road. Keep to the left at every opportunity until you reach the park's main parking lot (about one mile).

Parking is APPROX $10.00 (exact change) in Park. There is some street parking (free) outside of the park on the road.

Bring at least 1 qt of water

There's parking all along Topanga Blvd... it's at the Community Center... 1440 N. Topanga Cyn. Bl. approx 2 miles NORTH of Entrada Blvd (the Entrance to the hike)

There are also SHUTTLE STOPS all along Topanga Blvd. The faire lasts until sunset, I believe... because in typical Topanga fashion... there is no end time on the webpage...

since we'll all be arriving at different times after the hike... the best thing I can think of is to try to meet at 430PM to the right of the main stage... there's plenty to see and do even if we get separated as a group.

Oh... and don't worry if we're a bit "odiferous" after the hike... it will allow us to better fit in with the Topanga crowd... ;-)
