In this presentation, Ahmed will pull a chapter from his latest book (Program the Internet of Things with Swift for iOS) to demonstrate how you can build your first watchOS app. He will walk you through setting up a watchOS-compatible project, building a simple user interface, and communicating between the Apple Watch and an iPhone.
Ahmed is the author of "Program The Internet of Things with Swift for iOS (http://www.amazon.com/Program-Internet-Things-Swift-iOS/dp/1484211952/)" and "Beginning iOS Media App Development (http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-iOS-Media-App-Development/dp/1430250836/)". He started out developing apps for fun, but soon started taking on client work and founded devAtelier (https://devatelier.com/), a local mobile app development firm. Since then, he has worked on over 20 mobile projects. He is also currently teaching iOS development at the UCSD Extension (http://extension.ucsd.edu/) where we have our meetings.
Come help celebrate the release of our friend Ahmed's new book, and learn something new about iOS and watchOS too!
