Hack on your project with other Pythonistas on SF Python's Project Night
Details
For SF Python's meetup on 8/14, we will be hosting a Project Night for you to work on your Python related projects and get programming help.
We will meet at the Workshop Cafe (http://workshopcafe.com) - a brand new coffee shop / workplace with crazy-fast wifi, widescreen monitors, power outlets galore and more. Workshop Cafe will offer attendees beer, wine, pizza, and credits to use their facilities after their official launch. Yay!
Who should attend?
• New to Python and want to work with other Pythonistas
• Experienced devs who want to hack on your work, personal or open-source projects
• Experienced devs who want to mentor others (please sign-up (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1QwjacanenkZ4VrsrHpe8zDrobDr_sPvrSxlAUGjSAA8/viewform) here)
The plan:
6:00p Begin check-in
6:30p Welcome remarks
6:35p Introductions: tell us about your project and/or the kind of help you seek
6:45p Make yourself comfortable and start hacking
9:30p Wrap up
Example of projects to hack on:
• Personal side projects - your web application or personal learning project
• Open source projects - work on open issues or recruit developers for your project
• Work projects - work on anything you like and bounce ideas around
