Practical Python 3: fixing things and moving on + Jython 2.7/3.x

Details
On August 12, aside from lightning talks from our members, let's hear more about the latest development on Python 2.7/3. Please sign up to give a lighting talk here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1LtV839ktupRboMUSXlXqoJ9lLFvpe-TZtLCf2q6jUpY/viewform?usp=send_form).
Talk #1 Practical Python 3: fixing things and moving on
In this talk, Andrey Kislyuk will describe his experience building Python 2.7-3.4 compatible library code for a variety of cloud computing applications. Developers who want to take advantage of Python 3 features often face confusing errors when porting their code, including some not covered by porting guides or popular modules like six. Keeping code backward compatible is even harder. Andrey will also highlight how to make the best use of a few important and often overlooked Python 3 features, like function annotations, futures, and the async loop.
Bio: Andrey Kislyuk is a software developer in bioinformatics, responsible for developer relations and a variety of system development tasks at DNAnexus, a cloud platform service company in genomics.
