About us
Welcome to Caravanserai!
A free, non-commercial meetup open to everyone — no travel experience needed. We share stories, explore ethnic neighborhoods and food, and connect with travelers passing through Singapore.
Join us. Stay curious.
Why Caravanserai?
In the days past, traveling caravans would stop at a caravanserai — a wayside inn. Around the fire, they made friends and traded stories of the people and places they'd encountered.
We're inspired by that spirit: a place to pause, connect, and learn from one another.

Let’s take a wrong bus
National Library / Lee Kong Chian Reference Library, 100 Victoria St, Singapore, SGTLDR: Wrong bus? Wrong stop? On purpose. Meet at the National Library, hop on a random bus, get off somewhere random, find a hawker stall or cafe, and chat about bad decisions that turned out to be good stories. Wherever we land, good conversation guaranteed.
More: Have you ever boarded the wrong bus? gotten off at the wrong train station? Any bad decision in life that somehow ended up happy?
Let's try it here. We'll meet at the National Library, head to a nearby bus stop, and hop on the next bus — getting off at the 10th stop. From there, we'll find a hawker stall or cafe to sit and chat for a bit. No matter where we end up, we promise good conversation.
Inspired by a cafe in Saigon that celebrates bad decisions.
