Shut Up and Write! East Bay (Alameda) Marathon -- New Venue!

With the change of seasons, it seems like it's time to change cafes as well, and we're moving things indoors for the cooler months.

High Street Station Cafe (http://www.highstreetstationcafe.com/index.html) (corner of High Street and Encinal Avenue) is a comfortable little spot with good coffee and a menu packed with salads, sandwiches, baked goods, and (should the writing wheel need a little greasing) wine and beer (http://www.highstreetstationcafe.com/Cafe-Menu-PM.html). There are lots of tables and comfortable chairs, and a couple couches as well. There's free Wi-Fi (with purchase--patronizing whatever cafe we occupy is strongly encouraged!) and enough electrical outlets for the laptops.

We'll officially start at noon (come whenever you can) and break at 2:00 p.m. for a brief check-in, then officially wrap up at 4:00. You can stay on and keep writing if you're on a roll. The cafe is open until 7:00, but on Tuesdays they host a charity dinner at 5:30 so you'd need to clear out by then.
