Come join me this coming Saturday at the Pacific Beach/Taylor Library on the patio for a longer session with an optional read back at the end!
The idea is that we arrive at the library branch around Noon where, weather permitting, we will enjoy the sun as we write/draw/create on the patio. After the usual Meet and Greet common to all SuW meetings, I will set the first timer for an hour. We will then take a break (if you're on a roll no one's going to make you stop) where a tiny amount of time goes to a mid-course check in and then the all-important lunch, caffeine, snacks and/or bathroom interludes. Then, if you're still here I'll set the second timer for an hour.
We will meet at the back tables on the library patio where if we bus our trash we can bring a jug of caffeine, snacks and even lunch without the staff getting annoyed (I'm friends with a couple of them). It is, of course, an outdoor event, and I absolutely WILL disclaim all responsibility for anyone contracting skin cancer. So please wear your stiffest sunscreen. You will also want to bring your preferred creation tools (computer, iPad, notebook, Rocketbook, sketchbooks, pens, pencils and/or the almighty pack of cocktail napkins). I doubt there's an outlet closer to the table than your extension cord, so either come fully charged or bring a battery.
If the weather craps out on us, we can flee inside and take up some of the red tables which DO have outlets (indoor and library voices at all times) and save our food for later.
You'll notice that I've intentionally used the words creator and artist in places, if you need to come out and draw or even do your taxes I won't say no. I may do some of that myself.
If you're ready to find some fleeting time for whatever it is you do, then I may have the meeting for you!
