In five words or less: Nerdy Artists Hangout & Draw Comics! (does an ampersand count as a word? is "hangout" one word or two?) Our goal is to bring together people who want to make comics or video games to hang out over drinks and snacks, show off our latest works, share ideas and (of course) draw comics.

Our attendees are comprised mostly of comic illustrators, with the occasional writer and game developer. We have had a few seasoned professionals at our table, but the vast majority of us do this as a labor of love on the side.

At general meetings, we often try to do a group comic-making exercise, which are ridiculously fun and run a high risk of spoiling any future prospects you may have had of running for public office. No artistic talent required to participate! In fact, pairing up art-inept writers and mumbling illustrators is one of our goals. Participation in group exercises is optional; you are welcome to just come and do your own thing, if you prefer.

Meetings are weekly in Seattle (although as of Feb 2013, we are rejiggering the logistics) and most weekends on the Eastside. Plus occasional outings to special events, such as conventions, exhibitions, educational opportunities, etc.

"I'm a writer / artist. I was half of the webcomic duo for BardLandsBooks.com , but my partner had to drop the project 'cause sometimes life takes over. We're now on indefinite hiatus and I'm just looking around to meet other artists and comic makers."

"I used to draw indie comics. I was a member of Dafa Fungus comic collective in New Orleans in 2003-4. I don't do comics now that I have a youtube channel, but I'd like to get back into it. http://www.youtube.com/demosure"
