In five words or less: Nerdy Artists Hangout & Draw Comics! Does an ampersand count as a word?

The theme of SICAGA is bringing people who want to make comics or video games together to hang out, draw comics and share ideas over drinks and snacks. Anyone with aspirations of making comics or games is welcome! So far, our gang is primarily comprised of comic illustrators, with a couple writers and the occasional game developer.  

We spend our evenings chatting about comics we enjoy, sharing lessons and showing off our latest works. We've had many aspiring amateurs and a couple seasons professionals at cross our table.

My greatest hope is that energetic artists will be able to use SICAGA to team up create something beautiful.

We draw at least one group comic every week! You don't have to be able to draw to participate in this! One week we had equal numbers of illustrators and writers, and planned out our comic in teams of two. Some of our members have brought awesome comic-making challenges to the table, which always turn out hilarious and fun!

We meet every other week in Greenwood, and occasionally in Capitol Hill. I'd like to add Bellevue and University District to the rotation.
