BARKING MAD OR WA!! - Night at the dogs

Hey guys,

With such positive feedback from our first outing to the dog track, it would be cherlish not to make this a regular event. So if you fancy winning a couple of bob, ( or more aptly, don't mind losing a few bob!! ) this is the night for you.

What makes this place special??

Atmosphere atmosphere atmosphere....the buzz from this place is incredible so even if you know sweet F.A. about dogs, I would urge you to tip your toe and come along.....

Meetup point

As soon as you pay your entrance fee at the turnstile, walk straight ahead for about 20 yards and the Slicers will be in the right corner ( under the TV screen ).

The first race begins at 8pm so we will meet @ 7pm to swap notes..ha ha !! The racing goes on until 10pm. Best to get there on time so we can all move upstairs together.

Cost

€10 ( plus betting money which can be as low / high as you like )

Parking

There is parking facilities at the track BUT YOU NEED TO GET THERE ON TIME TO GUARANTEE A SPOT. It costs €2 for the night.

Public Transport

Shelbourne Park is approx 10 minutes drive from City Centre (Trinity College), via Pearse Street.

Bus no. 47, Fleet Street to Ringsend Road (Bus Garage 2 mins from Shelbourne Park)

Bus no. 1, O'Connell Street to Ringsend Road (Buses no. 1, 2 & 3 all combined to Bus no. 1 now)

Dart - Grand Canal Dock, 5 - 8 minute walk. Turn onto Barrow Street and turn right after Spar, which will bring you to South Lotts Road.
