Joshua Tree Climbing, plus free trad clinics and yoga

This is an outing for both experienced and new trad climbers. David S, the event organizer, has been teaching people how to climb for 20 years and will be offering some clinics on gear placement, anchors, and rope management. We will also have community yoga classes in the mornings.

We will arrive early Friday morning to get some campsites, but sites will be limited so we will need to make a group effort in order to accommodate a larger crowd. Please make sure to RSVP and we will communicate about securing all the sites.

Bring extra ropes, trad gear, all personal climbing gear. Bring lots of water, there is NO RUNNING WATER INSIDE THE PARK. Make sure you have food, camping gear, headlamps, and warm clothes, it can get cold at night.

Beginners are welcome, but we would encourage everyone who attends to at least have basic knot and belay skills and their own shoes, harness, and belay device.

Everyone attending this meetup must join SoCal Climbing and RSVP here. No +1's. Once the event fills up with 60 people, there will be a waiting list.

CAMPSITES & MEETUP PARTICIPATION

After the carpools are set, I'll be in contact with David S and will let each carpool driver know via email their car's campsite/campground info, and how to connect with David S on Friday 4/27 for the start of the meetup!
