Wednesday evening is Warehouse Wednesday at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Downtown Akron. A spaghetti dinner is only $5 including the salad. You can add toppings for an additional $1-$2. It’s a bargain and pretty good meal. Over the years, our members have made cycling the adjoining Towpath Trail with dinner after a tradition.

We leave the rear Spaghetti Warehouse parking lot at 6:00 p.m. for a 12-18 mile ride on the Towpath. Our goal is to return to the Spaghetti Warehouse around 7:00 p.m. for dinner. The group decides whether they will head north or south for the evening. The Botzum Trailhead is 9 miles north, and the Snyder Avenue Trailhead is 9 miles south. Both directions offer some nice views and very good cycling.

Out and back rides are designed with the intermediate and advanced cyclist in mind. These rides cycle out of a trailhead to a set destination, typically 8-10 miles away. After a break, the riders cycle back to the departure trailhead.

Tonight’s ride travels at 10 mph and typically takes 1 1/2 hours. The ride is rated for casual cyclists who enjoy cycling 8-10 mph on mostly flat trails. The trail is packed limestone and relatively flat with minimal elevation changes. The ride should be a comfortable ride for both the beginner and experienced cyclist.

This ride is on the calendar of the Spin-off Cyclists . We encourage you to join us on this and other rides. We are a group of cyclists of all ages and abilities who cycle the trails of Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas for fun, health and friendship.
