Physical Computing Meetup

Details

We have two speakers for November's meetup.

Ashley Reddy, robot entrepreneur, will talk about the future of robotics and automation in the workplace: Rational Robotics, Rethink robotics and Universal robotics, etc. He will show examples of how robots are moving into the workplace and the type of jobs they will be doing. He will discuss what technologies have enabled this, what challenges we are facing and what opportunities are available. He will give an overview about how his robot works.

Curt Filipowski will bring a couple of first-person view (FPV) multi-rotor drones and a large UAV flying wing. He has a 3 bladed tri-copter and willdemonstrate some flying inside. Come and see three whirling blades of death!

-----

Physical computing deals with how people use hardware and software to sense and respond to the analog world. If you're interested in robotics, interactive art, new ways of interacting with computers, arduinos, kinects, and more - this is an opportunity to learn more about how people are using some of these things and meet some of the people in the community who are working on them.
