Director of Media Affairs at Virgin Records where he worked closely with many artists including Genesis, Meat Loaf, Brian Eno, Massive Attack and the Future Sound of London.

Thomas (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/thomas-willomitzer/7/254/b71) (Willo) is CTO of JUMIO and leads the effort that transforms JUMIOs cutting edge technology into highly useful and scalable applications used by our clients worldwide.

Prior to joining Jumio, Willo CO-FOUNDED and served as CTO of LAST.FM, an online music service that was acquired by CBS for USD 280m in 2007.

Next to Founding Startups he has deep experience in ALGORITHMIC TRADING and the financial services industry having honed his developer and management skills at Leading Investment Banks such as UBS, Credit Suisse and UniCredit.

Willo holds a MSc degree in computer science (with Merit) from Birkbeck College, University of London. Of his 20 years of experience he spent 10 years working in London and another 10 years in other European Countries, Asia and the US.

Panel 3: Can tech make us healthier?

“How do you change the choices that people make?” This one hour panel, made up of leading industry experts is devoted to looking at how technology can be used to improve health and fitness, as well as how both commercial and clinical technology is improving patient and consumer health behaviours and understanding.

We’ll be looking at new, mass market technology (such as apps, clothing, bracelets and websites) and how these technologies can not only monitor health but encourage better behaviour through the likes of gamification and entertainment.

3 minute pitches followed by Q&A with the Panel. The audience votes at the end by a show of hands for who they would give their money to. The winning Startup gets a meeting with a London VC Firm.
