Discussions and Presentations (~1 hour)

  • Topic 1: Operational Security (OPSEC)
  • Topic 2: Encrypted File Storage
    Tool Demo (~15 minutes) - 7ZIP for encrypting Files in transit.
    Tool Sharing and Networking (~45 minutes)
    Share cryptography tools, and hang out with other interested peoples.

A Crypto Party is a gathering to learn and discuss computer Cryptographic tools, privacy, first amendment rights, and responsible legal methods of using these tools. This is an "Explain it like I'm 5 years old" (ELI5) level course.

The motivation is to empower regular people to protect their private data in an era of widespread surveillance. If you want to go further than just info, bring a functional laptop.

Everyone is welcome to come and learn about these free useful tools to help you ensure your privacy and first amendment rights.

People encouraged to go:

  • Average Joes!
  • Journalists, CPAs, Lawyers,
    and other professions where privacy is a major concern
  • College Students
  • Grandparents.
  • Activists
  • Knowledgeable folks willing to help
  • Human Beings.
