For those of you who are not attending the Getaway this year, Stu is offering a beginners workshop.

Stuart Fuchs is an internationally touring Kala Ukulele artist, NEA grant awardee, a popular teacher on You Tube, and workshop leader. Stu is coming to the Florida Gulf Coast for the Tampa Bay Ukulele Getaway AND he is offering a Thursday afternoon before the TBUG festival begins!
This workshop in response to an overwhelming request: "Would you please teach a begininer's class?" Absolutely! The class is for ANYONE who plays the ukulele - even if you've just started...you'll learn a good & solid foundation for Ukulele playing as well as fun songs.
Stu will lead participants through a mandala of Ukulele techniques:
the fundamentals of relaxed, effortless technique & full tone strumming with better rhythm, groove & drive a 3-step process for making chord changes easier your neighborhood bar chords style specific strums playing songs in a facilitated jam.
Stu's 20 + years of experience performing & teaching music, leading workshops in improvisation and Yoga translate into a class where students can expect to be led on a captivating and joyful exploration of music & Ukulele technique.
Practiced regularly Stu's holistic teachings will improve your rhythm, tone, singing, & stage presence in a very real way. Ultimately, you'll leave with a rock solid understanding of the nuts and bolts of great playing on the Ukulele.
Stuart (also a lifelong guitarist) will also perform a 25-30 minute "mini concert" of his virtuosic ukulele music for those attending the workshop at American House Zepher Hills (formerly The Commons at Pretty Pond).
