What we're about
The Tampa Bay Ukulele Society (TBUS) was founded in 2009. With over 3000 members we are the largest and most active ukulele club in the world.
We hold events throughout the year including open mic nights, jams, workshops, concerts and 4 annual festivals including The Tampa Bay Ukulele Getaway (http://www.tampabayukulele.com/?fbclid=IwAR2AgLF9di_CRwsAdp9XeTTQ9mCmt4a7DN2Yxvs9v7AHQjcTumfQexCa4fM) .
Our mission is to provide entertainment, education and community service opportunities for our members. Through our TBUS Cares (http://www.tbuscares.org/?fbclid=IwAR0W5x9fOAQ2aVdeVCSu4C6_9t9FCvNQRFiPVrCx-MV5uH4p-VApPVAzQEA) program we have made donations to over a dozen charities, donated ukuleles to Libraries and Schools, and donated the time of our members to teach beginner ukulele workshop programs at libraries in Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas Counties.

Safety Harbor Public Library
Desiree, our Outreach Services Librarian and resident uker, requested a jamALONG featuring our favorite folk tunes and Flower Power. So bring out that not-so-hidden hippie in you, wear that tie-dye and "people get ready" for tunes from 1969!
It was our time! The Safety Harbor JamAlong Gang led by Emily, Mike, Cheryl, Karen and Desiree and Tony will have YouTube playalongs (we hope we locate some folky classics) and music sheets with chords.
We're going back to the 60s! With a costume contest, Woodstock trivia contest, refreshments and story telling (your memories of Woodstock)!
Please email [masked] if you want the songlist and music sheets ahead of time. We're still putting the music together. So far on the list: Get Together, Going Up the Country, White Rabbit, Somebody to Love, If I Were a Carpenter, Johnny B. Goode, Ring of Fire, Long Black Veil, Susie Q, Evil Ways, At the Hop, With a Little Help from My Friends...
NOTE; We'll be setting up at an earlier time, 5:45pm. START TIME is 6pm!
Yeah! Peace. Love. And Ukulele! Let's share the love.
