Jim will discuss his organization’s highly unique model, its best practices, and its lessons learned, and how they can be effectively adopted by just about any community in the country.

Jim Cossler (https://twitter.com/JimCosslerYBI) is the Chief Executive Officer and Huntington Bank Entrepreneur in Residence of the Youngstown Business Incubator (http://ybi.org/).

From his position as Senior Vice President for Corporate Services of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Jim joined YBI in 1998 as its C.E.O when it was positioned as a traditional, “mixed use” incubator and became the primary architect of its transformation into the internationally known incubator, accelerator and managed technology cluster that YBI is today. His primary role is to serve as a mentor and entrepreneurial expert to YBI’s portfolio of companies as well as to build and manage the internal and external relations and networks necessary for their growth and success. In 2015, YBI was names the #1 University Affiliated Incubator in the World by UBI, an incubator/accelerator analysis and evaluation group based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Jim serves as an informal Mentor for university student based startups throughout the Cleveland to Pittsburgh corridor, including Youngstown State University, of which he is an alumnus with a major in Philosophic Literature.
