Introduction to Creative Writing Using the AWA Method

Love to write? This meetup will provide a structured writing practice, and a community of writing friends to inspire you to make your writing life a priority. Sign up for this creative writing workshop and you will write to a suggested prompt or to a topic of your choice. Workshops are warm, friendly and fun and include two 20-minute writing periods.

There will be 4-8 other writers joining you and the process will be kept safe by a trained AWA facilitator. No writing experience needed to attend. No pressure to read your own writing aloud. We'll meet from 1pm-3:15pm. Bring pen and paper or laptop.

If you enjoy the experience, you are welcome to register for one of the ongoing workshops. Cost is $20 per session. If not, there is no charge for attending the sample introduction. Please note that this is a fee-based ongoing writing workshop. The Saturday monthly meet ups serve as a way to introduce new writers to the workshop and the AWA method.

The meetup is intended as a free one-time experience to sample the workshop and see if you'd like to write regularly with the group. If you've already attended an introductory workshop, you are welcome to RSVP here and bring payment to the workshop.
