EVENT DESCRIPTION

Join us on Tuesday evening, October 28 to explore the topic of leadership with Vancouver’s leading experts. This discussion panel will explain leadership in the context of small business and answer your questions. The panel will be moderated by Kerry Vega and will consist of Terry Clark, Caroline MacGillivray and Rosalyn Cua.

BIOS

Kerry Vega, MTC, RPC, is a Registered Professional Counsellor, specializing in LEADERSHIP, RELATIONSHIPS, and MEDIATION. She assists business owners in becoming extraordinary leaders through breaking past their own barriers and building profitable, long-term relationships with their customers and staff.

With a strong foundation of conflict resolution and mediation skills, Kerry often works with companies on turning crisis and problems in the workplace into strategic and revenue building relationships. Kerry is an accomplished Workplace Educator, Facilitator, Trainer, and Counsellor for Human Resources.

Terry Clark is the founder and President of Real Board Solutions. He is a results-oriented, not-for-profit professional with a unique background and skill set that volunteer board members and their staff truly appreciate.

For the past 19 years Terry has advised hundreds of not-for-profit Boards of Directors and their senior staff members. His consulting practice focuses on Board development, strategic planning, recruitment, and mentoring/coaching. He has provided these services to not-for-profits in virtually every not-for-profit sector in Western Canada.

Caroline MacGillivray is the Executive Director and founder of Beauty Night Society. Since 2000, this society has given more than 48,000 life-makeovers to impoverished women. Caroline is the 2002 Flare Volunteer Award (national) recipient, Shakti Public Service 2012 recipient, 2010 Spirit of the Crane Gold Community Award recipient and a five-time YWCA Woman of Distinction Nominee.

A speaker, dance instructor, yoga teacher and a medical qi gong practitioner, Caroline is also the host and producer of Sexy in Vancity Radio on 101.9FM CITR.

Rosalyn Cua discovered her signature style of leadership at a young age when she refused to "sit like a girl." Growing up in a traditional Chinese family where the norm was to strive for a "cookie cutter" version of success and achievement, Rosalyn forged her own path to a rich and fulfilling life and business expressing her multiple passions and interests. A changemaker with an entrepreneurial spirit, Rosalyn serves as an independent consultant supporting leaders of fast-growing companies build structures and systems and develop people and culture for long-term sustainable growth. She invests in pioneering and innovative ventures with a social change mission. Rosalyn teaches and inspires business leaders to have the courage to start and grow businesses that reflect their authentic selves.

SCHEDULE

The doors will open at 5:45pm. Informal networking takes place from 5:45pm to 6:15pm. The formal part of the meeting begins sharp at 6:15pm with Collaborative Networking. The expert panel takes the stage at 7:30pm. The Meetup wraps up at 8:45pm.
