Urban Ride/Run Scavenger Hunt for Brumley!!

Details

Arrive between 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Staggered start times. Please read below.

Great news! More trails! Set to open November 5, 2016!

The Triangle Land Conservancy is providing us with 7 miles of mountain bike trail and 4.5 miles of hiking trail at the Brumley Nature Preserve in Hillsborough! TORC is partnering with TLC to build and maintain the trails.

We invite you to our urban ride scavenger hunt to help raise the remaining funds needed to get us rolling! For those that will be visiting Brumley more for the hiking trails, there will be a runner/walker option at this event for anyone interested in doing the Scavenger Hunt without a bike.

Scavenger Hunt Details

Arrive between 2:30 to 3:30. Start times for the scavenger hunt will be staggered every 3 to 5 minutes. Bikers will follow one longer route. Runners/walkers will follow another route. Come to the TORC tent to receive your clues, then head off for the hunt. For families and friends who would like to stay together, you may go off in groups up to 5. The last start time will be around 4pm. Each item you retrieve will gain you a raffle ticket for the drawings around 5pm. Everyone has a chance to win some nice prizes!

Hang Out at Back Alley Bikes for Food and Fun!

At Back Alley Bikes, there will be wood-fired pizza from Flirting with Fire for fuel before and after the event. A portion of the proceeds will go to our fundraising efforts, thanks to owner and TORC member, John Conklin. TLC will be set up as well to tell you all about their wonderful trail-building mission and vision. We will be selling TORC jerseys with a portion of the proceeds going toward TLC. There will also be a few skills props to practice on while waiting on others to finish. Raffle will begin around 5:15pm.
