It's A Happy New Tarot Year

Optional dinner and socializing: 6pm

Official start time: 7pm

After all the holiday hoopla, our January Meetup offers a more cozy, peaceful vibe.

First, we'll take a brief tour of our Meetup website. Almost all of us at one time or another have longed to get together in between Meetups and bounce ideas around, get a reality check on a reading, or just chat.

Our site is designed for that, as well as connecting with some of our amazing long-distance members. And with just a little practice, it can be very user-friendly and fun!  Yes, even for the most techno-phobic!

Optional: Bring your portable device and follow along (as long as the Wi-Fi is working!), and put the power of Meetup to work for you!

But that's not the whole evening (unless you want it to be).

Long, long ago in a far away place (Panera Bread, Oh! Brian's, etc.), we used to actually spend a good portion of the evening giving each other practice readings. I keep hoping we can carve out the time but with all our recent programs and presentations, it hasn't really worked out.

Let's remedy that this month!
It's time to revive our practice readings!

Be sure to bring your favorite deck(s), and let's buddy-up together - in pairs and teams. It's a great way to learn, practice, and get friendly feedback. I will have some structure for you, if you need it, of if you just want insight on your own questions, that's fine too. Either way, I know this is a fun, low-risk way to grow, experiment, even test-drive a new deck. And it will certainly enrich our Tarot friendships!

As always: Be sure to bring your new books, decks, or other Tarot items for show-and-tell, tales of your latest Tarot adventures, and other topics you might want to discuss!

Last but not least:  If you are going to order one of Bocci's delicious dinners, please give yourself (and the restaurant staff!) at least 45 minutes, before we start at 7. We don't want our beloved cards dunked in marinara!

Join us for a brand new year, as we learn, laugh, and go deeper!

A wonderful evening! It was fun to see everyone's new acquisitions, hear about Beth's upcoming classes, and go over the mechanics of the Meetup site! P.S. The Chicken Scarpariello that our waitress Vickie recommend was amazing. I had enough to take home for a meal to share with my husband.

I'm sorry for the short notice but I won't be able to make it tonight either. Hopefully I'll see you next month--I definitely want to come back soon!

I am having an artificial bone transplant in my mouth at 3 pm, but I am still coming with Jamie as my driver. I may not be able to eat, my talking ability may be somewhat limited, but I bet I can still drink and schmooze. Happy New Yera all, and looking forward to tomorrow (at least starting at 6 if not before.)

Happy New Year, everyone! Unfortunately, I'm not able to make
this month's meeting...don't know how to cancel, but heads up,
Carolyn, you can put it on your calendar. I'll be there in spirit, &
    see you in February!

Aw, heck, Janet! YOU are one of the people I am especially offering this tutorial for - so you CAN learn to RSVP and un-RSVP and post a picture (or avatar), and find your way around Meetup website. It is SO easy, but you kind of need to be here to practice! Bummer! If you change your plans, PLEASE come! We'll make space somehow. I am serious! ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm so sorry, but I'll miss the January Meetup. Have a great time, give each other hugs for me and enjoy the yummy food! I'll see you in February.

Mary Gabriel - go ahead and pull a card even if you just stop for 30 seconds, center yourself and cut the cards. You could carry it with you all day (tuck it in your journal or day planner) or leave it on your desk or altar. When you get home, take a moment to look at it again and consider how it may related to your day. Doesn't have to take a long time, or be as involved as it would be if things weren't so busy busy for you right now. When you have more time to sit and study the cards again, they'll be right there ready for more in depth consideration!

I'm back to school and I have a class every Wednesday night from 5pm to 9:30pm. I will be missing meetup for this semester, but will surely come back in June. I feel a huge urge to pull the card out of my drawer, but have no time. It is so weird i felt like the card are calling me is been 2 weeks now that every day i have a desire to draw the card, but i have to leave home early in morning and too tired to focus at night. Is hard to explain, is like the card try to draw my attention and i just resist and always push it later. I hope to find some time to pull them out soon. I hope that everyone had nice holiday and wish the tarot group an happy new year and all the best for 2014.
