Heads Up! - Vegan Potluck and Talk by Author of "Sister Vegetarian..."

As always, a Heads Up! is not an official meetup, but information about an event you may wish to attend. This is a Triangle Vegetarian Society (TVS) event. Keep in mind this post only reflects our members who are attending -- many TVS members will be there who are not meetup members, so you get to meet them, too!

If you're interested in attending this potluck, please bring a vegan item to share, and include a list of ingredients.

You do not have to be a member of TVS to attend their potlucks.

From the TVS Calendar:

Saturday, January 28, 2012 - 7:00 pm
Vegan Potluck and Talk by Donna Beaudoin, author of "Sister Vegetarian's 31 Days of Drama-Free Living"
Durham Friends Meetinghouse
404 Alexander Ave, Durham (see a map and directions)

Please bring only vegan dishes to this potluck. Donna Beaudoin ( is a Certified Raw Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Raw Vegan Chef who helps "people transition to a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle by illustrating the importance of adding to weekly meals raw vegan and whole foods for increased health benefits". She has received strong feedback about her work and new book and has been a guest speaker at several recent events, including being on a panel along with "nutritarian" Joel Fuhrman, M.D..

After we enjoy a vegan potluck, we will be treated to an inspiring talk by Donna Beaudoin. Donna's book, "Sister Vegetarian's 31 Days of Drama-Free Living: Exercises and Recipes for a Healthy Mind, Body, and Spirit", will not be available for purchase at this event, but you are welcome to bring with you books purchased ahead of time and she will be happy to sign them. You can order the book at the following sites: Lantern Books, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.

As always, please label ingredients in your potluck dish and bring your own serving utensils and place setting. If you don't enjoy preparing food, feel free to pick up some apple cider, perhaps a quality vegan (no honey, eggs, dairy, or other animal products) bread and dip, or a fruit platter.
