Virtual Event - Vegan T-shirt Day
Hello, all! I'd like to invite everybody to a virtual event - takes place wherever you are! http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=[masked] is the event page. The group page is at http://www.facebook.com/VeganTshirtDay If you aren't on Facebook the details are: Vegan T-shirt Day is just around the corner! Started by Jonathan Balcombe (writer, activist, scientist, and public speaker on behalf of animals), the first Saturday of every month is VEGAN T-SHIRT DAY! Ever heard of those successful “critical mass” events where bicyclists take to the streets to remind motorists that they don't own the road? Well, it's time we vegans launched a similar effort! Check out http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vegan-T-shirt-Day/108620869222808. Raise awareness as you go about your day - wear any vegan/animal rights message shirt to raise awareness for the animals! Or wear a button, sticker, etc! After you wear your shirt that Saturday, if you want head over to the Facebook group (link above) and post a pic of you in your message shirt! If you like this idea and want to raise awareness to help the animals, please SHARE it (and WEAR it!). You can forward the Facebook event to anyone you think may be interested - and let's spread the word! The Triangle Veg Meetup also has a page you are welcome to check out. We are at http://www.facebook.com/TriangleVeg See you at an event soon! ~ Stephanie

What we're about

A group for vegetarians and vegans (and the veg-curious) to meet, share food ideas, socialize & eat some great veg food! We meet at different veg-friendly restaurants & have a bimonthly vegan potluck (on the 3rd Saturday). We have various other events, so keep your eyes on the calendar! We also have a message board where we share information and answer each others questions!

You do not have to be vegetarian or vegan to attend, but please follow the diet listed for the event. All events are vegetarian unless listed as vegan. Vegetarians eat no flesh foods, including stock, fish, gelatin and other seafood, while vegans also exclude dairy, eggs and honey.

Dues can be paid at a meetup event or email me (click the link to the left) for contact info. This helps me pay the service fee to Meetup. Dues are $1 for a month you attend an event or $3 for the whole year.

I look forward to meeting you!
