Hello, Veg Meetup'ers!
This has already been an active year for our group and the next few weeks will be the same. We have a lot of activities going on and I will gladly take suggestions for new events/restaurants. Just send me an email with any ideas you may have. I think I will be setting up a bowling event soon - be on the look out for that!
There is still room and time to RSVP for tonight's dinner at Bright Palace
. This is a newish popular restaurant and so thrilling to have another all veg place in our area. Member Brenda is going to be setting up meetups there most months, in order to help support the restaurant, so if you can't make it tonight, there will be other chances soon.
Tonight is also your last chance to RSVP for Saturday's event of Shakespeare and dinner
. I will be finalizing our reservations on Friday. If you can no longer go, please also change your RSVP by tonight. If you are a Yes by the end of tonight, I will expect to see you there for a great play and delish dinner!
I've posted a Heads Up about an interesting event on Saturday morning in Raleigh. This is a rally and march for a 14 point agenda and there will be a veg contingent there. Check out Historic Thousands on Jones Street Rally and March
for the details.
These are just a few of the events coming up. Go to the website and view the calendar for all the events. Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup of Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill
Also, there is some interesting info on our message board, including a post I made about your chance to win prizes just for filling out brief (3-4 sentence) restaurant reviews. There are many wonderful veg and veg-friendly restaurants in our area - help them get represented on vegdining.com and be entered to win prizes. Check out this message board post
for the details. It just takes a couple minutes.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone again for the improvement in our attendance rates. It is really appreciated and I hope we keep it up. Setting up events is work (though it is also fun!) and all our organizers appreciate it when you come when you say you will and don't make changes (unless absolutely necessary) at the last minute. It's also a good idea to change those maybes to a Yes or No before the event, so we know whether or not to wait for you.
Thanks again for making this such a great group!
Stephanie - your humble organizer
