It is that time of year again for another great event here at UHOA. This year we have secured a limited number of permits to hunt the hated Bierk Ans and its close relative the Sodak Ans. These wasteful critters while being hunted close to extinction in New England & New York along with California & Michigan are being spotted all over the Carolina's. Whether they are burrowing in the bottom of the Chattooga or alongside many of our local hiking trails. They are even being seen in increasing numbers alongside our roadways. They need to be eliminated.
Fortunately we are even able to sell all the carcasses we can come up with from this event. Easily recognizable from their large silvery eye and smooth skin.  While the Bierk Ans are generally benign when bein captured, one must be careful to not let any of the noxious emissions to get on your skin. most emissions from the Ans are harmless, though every now and then they can release a really nasty venom like substance.
We would suggest you bring a couple of standard size snipe sacks to hold your catch in, and either a hiking pole to whack the with or an old ski pole to spear them. A stout pair of gloves is also reccommend for handling the carcasses.

We will be heading out to Riley Moore Falls to capture these nasty critters, while it is possible to hunt them at night using a light and looking for the gleam of them, it is much safer to do this during the day.

Check it out!
