We live in an island community, so let's start acting like it! Meet with other local sailors to organize outings. The meetup is designed to encourage crew to get connected with boats they can go sailing.
We hold educational events to help boat owners and crew sail safer and farther with better results. We hold races and BBQ's and occasional cruises as well. The meetup is free to join and many of the events are free. Owners are cautious, therefore we strongly urge you to get some training experience first. Also see Gotham Sailing Meetup Group and Westester/City Island Sailing Meetup Groups. They are great Meetups and organize training classes occasionally, as well as fun outings, both on and off the water.

Welcome to the First Annual Urban Squall Holiday Party! This event is for
sailors looking to plan ahead for 2010 sailing during the long off season. Come
help us make it an annual tradition.
At the party we'll be giving out information on charters and trips we're
organizing, as well as gauging member interest in fractional boat ownership for
