We all know that vegan dining is more than just sprouts and hummus. Let's get together and celebrate healthy, decadent, and delicious vegan food. Come meet others who share this passion and let's inspire each other to greater creativity in the kitchen AND getting more connected to the source of our food here in Hawaii. Each vegan feast will feature a theme.What we are looking for:The People:
We wish to meet up with aware, enthusiastic, learning-, growth-, and success-oriented people who are also stable, grounded, foodies who have a natural and artistic expression with vegan food. You may be a gardener or gardener wannabe. You celebrate and are committed to your vegan lifestyle.The Food
: We want to share and experience scrumptious, voluptuous, gourmet vegan home-cooked meals. We're requesting home cooked dishes incorporating local and organic ingredients, garden/farm-to-table, and as close to the source as possible. This will be an ongoing learning experience for us all.

About the Hosts:Joy Waters
is the former producer of the popular TV series "Tasty and Meatless in Hawaii" and now has a line of Vegan Video Cookbooks on DVD available through www.TastyandMeatless.com. In the many years that she had chefs and restaurant owners on her TV show, she learned to make really good vegan food and is eager to meet others with the same passion for mouthwatering, peaceful nourishment. Leslie Ashburn
is a graduate of the Kushi Macrobiotic International Extension Program in Osaka, Japan. Her background includes macrobiotic cooking, health diagnosis, healing & principles, as well as shiatsu. After returning to Oahu from Japan, she has been a passionately teaching, cooking, and sharing vegan macrobiotic principles and recipes with the community, breaking down stereotypes of what it means to eat healthy. She works with a wide variety of community members, including preparing delicious healing meals for seminars with the local living treasure Dr. Terry Shintani.
