Announcing a new Meetup for Vegetarian Meetup Group!
What: Great Lakes Brewing + Indians + Fireworks = FUN!
When: Tuesday, July 3,[masked]:00 PM
Where: Great Lakes Brewing & Restaurant
2516 Market Ave
Cleveland, OH 44113
Great Lakes Brewing is one of Cleveland's top restaurants and also makes the best beer anywhere. There are several vegan options on their menu, veg too and most everything is made from scratch.
www.greatlakesbrewing.com for more info. Their telephone number is[masked]
GLB has agreed to host us on Wednesday, July 3, at 6 :00 pm. We are limited to 12 so reserve soon as you know you want to attend and if the reservations are full, go ahead and sign up anyway and you'll be on the automatic waiting list.
We will dine as close to 6 as we can get served, then we will take the Great Lakes Shuttle across the Lorain Ave Bridge to the game. It's one buck round trip, no traffic, no parking hassles.
Then, it's on to the Indians game which is also a Fireworks night! After the game we will take the shuttle back to GLB for a recap before heading home.
Tickets can be gotten ahead of time, or, if it's not a sell out, at the game when we arrive. Tickets can also be gotten from www.stubhub.com sometimes at below face value. However we do it, the seating policing is lax and we can all take each other's digits and hook up during the game so we can all sit together. Or, if someone wants to get a bunch of tickets to distribute to the group, that would be fine too.
I do this a lot on my own, but it's the first time I've tried it like this as a meetup, so I remain hopeful If someone wants to get there early, like say 5:45 to get seated, that might expedite things as well. We might not make the first pitch, but we will be there probably no later than the second inning to enjoy the game, a nice summer night outside and some amazing fireworks.
There is a parking lot at the west end of Market Ave. There is usually some parking on the streets in the area and you can almost always find free parking in the lot to the North of the West side Market.
It's always a great time at GLB they are a very green company and some of their beers, all of which are vegan, are even organic. Come and taste what good, fresh food and beer can be. Even if you don't like beer or are a non-drinker, the food is always wonderful, locally sourced and organic when possible.
