What we’re about
Do you love trying new vegetarian & vegan restaurants? Do you enjoy the company of fellow vegetarians & vegans? Are you occasionally frustrated that your meat-eating friends "don't get it," and do you wish to dine with others that have the same enthusiasm for vegetarian and vegan food that you do?
Welcome to our group. What I am especially proud of is all the wonderful members we have. We seem to attract some of the very nicest, most thoughtful people in New York. Given the focus of our group, I am not surprised.
New York has many excellent vegetarian and vegan restaurants, and new ones are opening all the time. Join us as we explore them all, and enjoy dining with some of the kindest, most gracious, most socially-conscious people in New York.
Plus, join us as we go out on the town to vegetarian and vegan friendly bars and lounges. And partake when we go to visit some outstanding music venues. Great ways to have delightful nights on the town in the company of a fun and friendly group of vegetarians and vegans.
We warmly welcome all vegetarians and vegans as well as those that are considering a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Our meetup group was profiled in a news story on CNN's Headline News channel. Check out the video.

Just read mine ;p
If anyone knows La Madeleine (I grew up in TX), LPM is an elevated and vegan version of them! I LOVE croissants...and then I became vegan, so have been searching for one that meets my expectations. LPM's croissants are THE BEST! I pride myself in being a vegan croissant connoisseur - some are too dry/hard, too small, not flaky enough, too expensive, too dense...the list continues! Nothing compares to theirs!Plus, they have an assortment of baked goods - daily options and rotational based on the season or chef's inspiration! LPM has a mix of savory and sweet delights...and so many are also available gluten free! Come early for the cinnamon rolls...mmm!! Brunch served on the weekends! They have something for everyone!
If you bring your reusable mug, they offer a discount! Hooray for their sustainability efforts! I like to set up shop, buy a bunch of goodies to enjoy while I'm there and take home the rest, and then I get to work since they have Wi-Fi! Please support an amazing vegan establishment!
Of all the vegan bakeries in Brooklyn, this one is my favorite - selection, space, and vibe are all a winner!

This place continues to be the best. It's gotten a bit busier/popular so you do run the risk of slim pickings by late morning, but good for them. Really good quality, unbeatable pastries.*M. C.
I recently visited this location. I enjoyed the pastry. The workers were pleasant and helpful in deciding what to order. I hope to return in the future.*Emily B.
I came late in the afternoon, so obviously there were only a few treats left. BUT, what I did have, I loved! Will be back to try more. For more information - https://www.lepetitmonstre.com/
