MTB Night Ride - Lake Chabot, 4

Details
Join us on this Team Velo Girls MOUNTAIN BIKE ride … at NIGHT!
The fast, fun fire-road trails of Lake Chabot are perfect for a post-work ride. Trails are mostly wide open and technically easy, making Lake Chabot the perfect spot for a night ride. There is a good amount of climbing, however, with a rewarding scenic view of the southeast bay area city lights.
We have two loop options, depending on the group -- either the full 12 mile bike loop, which takes about 1.5 hours, or we could cut it short at the 8 mile loop, which is about one hour.
Come out with us to experience this popular park in the dark -- it's a whole new spin on mountain biking! Women of all ages are welcome to join: you will need lights and layered clothing as it gets very dark in some areas, and may become a bit cold as well. We recommend a two light system: one headlamp and one bar light, although one good light should be fine.
Trails in the East Bay Regional Park District are open until 10 pm year-round. The parking lot entrance at the marina is open until 6 pm. We meet at 5:30, ride about 10 minutes after meeting.
Hope to see you there!
