See all- 2nd time @ NEW VENUE! Drinking Skeptically @ Barkley JALEPENOS Banquet Room!Jalapeños Barkley Village, Bellingham, WA
Our last April 18th meeting we temporarily returned to Bob's Burger & Brew with 13 shows (see pix above, 10 visible, one hidden, I'm behind camera & Ileen Self arrived after pix was taken) as the next door Jalapenos Banquet room to the south was booket for our April time slot. We do have Jalapenos booked for this month and June.
ONE CHANGE! With longer daylight, we've moved from 6 PM to 6:30!
We have outgrown this room (Past meeting up to 18 and 19 people showed, averaging 13 per meeting from last May through December.
LETS CELEBRATE for the 2nd Time IN OUR NEW QUIETER LARGER 40 PERSON CAPACITY MEETING ROOM NEXT DOOR JUST SOUTH OF OUR OLD Bob's Burger and Brew venue (Who has served us well for over 15 years!) We succeeded in March with 19 showings at our 1st Jalapenos meeting!
Bob Burr recommended this room and has volunteered to underwrite the shortage if we fall under the required group total of $300 restaurant food and drinks revenue for use of this room. But as long as 15 show (we had 19 last time!) we should be fine!

**Topic #2: MOVIE: Civil War - (Thank you Tom Horton for this topic)
Here is a TIMELY movie, right after our viewing of "God & County" to ask the forgotten question: "War, what is it GOOD for?" This movie TAKES NO POLITICAL / PHILOSOPHICAL position, and instead views events through the eyes of war journalist of what our fragmented country would look like as a Civil War slowly breaks through some states while leaving others untouched, and hammers the point that NO GOOD can come from war and violent unrest. WE MUST LEARN TO TALK AND LISTEN TO EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT AND SOLVE OUR DIFFERENCES rather than resort to Violence and War - As there are no real winners in WAR. Below is links to local movie times: (Note - This Thursday may be the last showing locally)
Alex Garland's film "Civil War"

This article is LESS about VEGANISM and more about the methods used to determine ANY position on Secular Morality!
