Whether it's your "thing" or not, HUNGER GAMES is a hit, like it or not, and the book holds reader's interest. Why? I was reluctant to read it, thinking it was another one of those shallow teen books. However, I actually (and surprisingly) liked it!
I know this is last minute, but this afternoon, about 8 to 10 or so of us are gathering to discuss the literary and cultural (from a society standpoint) aspects of the book, and how war effects children and society.
Come meet other readers. It's always good for writers to network with people who enjoy books. We're a casual and friendly group.
12:30 -- 1:30
We're meeting near Capital and 540.
Address = 6911 Capital Blvd., but GPS often screws this address up.
Heading north on Capital, turn left at light on Gresham Lake Rd.,
which is 2 seconds north of 540.
Make an IMMEDIATE left onto tiny service road,
and look for "Martial Arts" sign.
There we be!
