Announcing a new Meetup for The Raleigh Write 2 Publish Meetup Group!

What: Critique Group at Cameron Village

When: March 19,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Please join us for some insight into your work and feedback on how to make it even better than it already is, on Thursday, March 19th in Room 202 at the Cameron Village Public Library. This is an opportunity for you to
learn more about your craft and participate in constructive criticism. The workshop begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. Writers of all genres are welcome. Meetings are open to the public.

Each workshop begins with a brief instructional period that focuses on the topic of the month. Then, two or three attendees are given the chance to receive a 20-25 minute critique of their work. The workshop wraps up with small group discussions on the topic of the month in which everyone who wants to read gets a chance to share their writing.

This month we will look at dramatic conflict. The discussion will focus on the real meaning of dramatic conflict, how dramatic conflict moves a story forward, and how dramatic conflict differs from the big actions or charged
interactions that it sometimes brings to mind. Please bring a few paragraphs from your work, where two characters have opposing goals, if you would like small group feedback.

Sharon Elizabeth Wood will offer instruction and facilitate the group. Sharon is a published writer who has taught in the Duke Short Course Creative Writing Program since 1998.
