Arifa Khan is India Partner of the Ethereum Foundation. She has been researching the blockchain space since 2015 and is a distributed ledger technology evangelist. She is a celebrated investment banker with experience in Leveraged Finance/ Financial Sponsors Coverage/ Debt Products/Capital Markets & Credit. She has worked with two Swiss banks Credit Suisse & UBS, which honed her ability in deal origination, and confident execution. She has deep sector expertise in Banking & Financial services, Fintech and Blockchain. She currently advises Govt. of India on infrastructure financing and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh State on blockchain adoption.

Arifa has an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, USA where she majored in Finance and specialised in advanced financial concepts, modelling and speculative markets. She is mathematically gifted, and earned early accolades as a Gold Medalist in Mathematics. She ranked 14th in Andhra Pradesh State Engineering Entrance EAMCET when she was just 14 years old, which earned her an admission in Computer Science Engg. Having hailed from a small town in Andhra Pradesh with no engineers, and from a family of non-mathematicians, she created waves as a teenage prodigy. However, she did not return to pure mathematics until a fascination for blockchain took hold of her in 2015. She has a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras - an inflection point in shaping her ambition.

Arifa is Member Wharton UK Club Committee, Founder Europe-India Conclave Series, speaker at several international conferences, most recently D10e Davos Switzerland, ICO Summit Istanbul, Bengaluru Tech Summit hosted by Govt. of Karnataka, India. She is known for her versatile talents and is a poet and an acclaimed painter. She is inspired by genius polymaths such as Rabindranath Tagore, Satoshi Nakamoto, Steve Jobs, Vitalik Buterin.
