COMMUNITY BARN DANCE @ WARWICK CENTER FOR ARTS, Sat. 06/17/2023
● TIME: Dance 7:30-10:30 pm [Intro session 7:15 - 7:30 pm]
● WHERE: Warwick Center for the Arts - gallery @ 3259 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886
● NOTE: This is the last dance before the Summer hiatus. We plan to start again on Saturday, September the 16th,
● ALL ARE WELCOME! There are NO restrictions in order to attend! We often switch partners after every dance so there is no need to bring a partner, and no experience is needed to have a fantastic time!
● ROLE TERMS: Traditional - "ladies & gents" or "women & men" but all are welcome to choose the role term they desire!

● Bring your family, friends or just yourself to our community barn dance for an evening of contras, squares and other dances! No fancy footwork needed to attend, just come, enjoy the friendly camaraderie, dance to live music and see everyone's smiling faces!
● CALLER: TOD WHITTEMORE, Tod has been calling dances for forty years, having been lucky enough to begin his career at the time when famous callers Ralph Page and Duke Miller were still active in NH's Monadnock Region. Tod has called dances all over the world, and is known for his humor, energy, and infectious love of dancing!
● LIVE MUSIC: "LARKSPUR" who are EmmaLee Holmes Hicks & Peter Zay: With Peter on the cello and guitar and Emmy on the fiddle and violin, this duo is full of surprises and always brings to their audience a program filled with variety and fun.
● ADMISSION: $12.00 per person (WCA Members $10) OR, Students (with ID, please) $8, or, Families $30. *Donations are greatly appreciated and encouraged!
● CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Clothing is casual, layers are best for this invigorating exercise. Please wear non-street shoes that move easily on the floor (rubber soled sneakers are discouraged). Cowboy boots or hats are not necessary.
● FOOD: Some snacks offered at the break.
● PARKING: There is plenty of free parking on street, or right next to or behind the hall.
