Details

Join us on a road trip to RoboGames! Details are wide open at this point, but know that it starts April 19th and goes until April 21st. I plan on being there the whole time, but we can work out details for those that want to go later or leave earlier. Ideally it'd be great if we could travel together.

Costs:

We will split travel/lodging expenses--unless you plan to do your own thing. Food: to each his own As far as RoboGames itself goes, it depends on the competitions that you enter. Competitions will be paid for solely by the competitor. You are under no pressure to compete. As long as you sign up under our team (Robot Fanatics--contact me to do this), admission will be free. There's plenty to see and do at RoboGames and in San Francisco to keep anyone content.

Added Bonus: as of a couple of years ago, RoboGames has been doing a symposium in which researchers/students present interesting projects that they've been involved with. It may sound stuffy and completely academic, but the first year that they did it they had some pretty interesting stuff: for one, Heather Knight presented her research with her standup comedian robot (An Aldebaran Nao). Another presenter showed off his self-playing musical instruments.
