How do you deal with unconscious bias in the workplace? In this session we'll be exploring practical ways to make your voice heard: a group of actors will help the audience devise methods to respond to it when it arises (more about this in a moment!); and 10 Digital Ladies co-founder Lucia Adams (https://www.linkedin.com/in/luciaadams/?ppe=1) will hold a fireside chat with an incredible panel featuring:

• Our host, Bénédicte Autret (https://www.linkedin.com/in/benedicte-autret-76a1501?authType=NAME_SEARCH&authToken=xCKb&locale=en_US&srchid=112714361487755755303&srchindex=1&srchtotal=2&trk=vsrp_people_res_name&trkInfo=VSRPsearchId%3A112714361487755755303%2CVSRPtargetId%3A3339586%2CVSRPcmpt%3Aprimary%2CVSRPnm%3Atrue%2CauthType%3ANAME_SEARCH), winner of the 10 Digital Ladies Agent for Change award 2017; as Head of Strategic Relationships for News & Publishers in the UK & Benelux at Google Bénédicte works with world class brands fostering innovation. • Jodie Rogers (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jodierogers/), HR Business Partner at MEC, she ran “Brave Your Bias” a programme about unconscious bias which incorporated a Harvard Implicit Association Test, (https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html) team workshops with our inclusion coach and also using headshots of each person to overlay on each other to create the homogenous “face of MEC”. Her passion is and has always been to positively impact peoples experiences and wherever possible, for this to extend beyond the office through programmes which challenge ways of thinking & preconceptions, enhance personal fulfilment and affect lasting positive change.

• Kim Matenchuk (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kimberlymatenchuk/), a Sr Director for the Food & Beverage/ Consumer Package Goods in GE's new Digital Business, Kim also spent 9 years at Google working with Publishers such as Sky, Thomas Cook, TalkTalk and Aegis on their digital advertising strategy and delivery. She also led Google's first strategic global partnership deal outside of the US and changed the way Google approached working with Agencies globally. Kim completed her Executive MBA at Judge Business School in 2016. She is originally from Western Canada, and lives in London with her husband and young daughter.

We'll kick off the evening with a 'Forum Theatre' with Anna Carus-Wilson who runs Frank Partners with Neil Bett in order to 'put the debate on it’s feet'. Anna Carus-Wilson says, "The idea is to challenge, to create discussion, to share ideas – and most importantly, to see how to change the dynamics of the conversation through interaction. Many businesses aren't benefiting from their female employees, because their voices or ideas are not heard. More often than not, it is men interrupting women. This is not about man-bashing. The fact is, men are in the majority in many organisations - even the best of men can fall in to unhelpful behaviours and habits."
