4th of July Beach Day!
Details
This is the first time the 4th of July falls on a Saturday in six years! So, we have to go to the beach. That's the law!
THE PLAN
Well, there is really no plan. Just come to the beach and enjoy the day!
I’m getting there at 10:00 AM. I haven’t made any fireworks plans yet, but I might, so I think I’ll be there until around 3:00 PM. We can also regroup later to go see fireworks somewhere. I have an awesome secret location and might share it with you guys at the beach…
I’m bringing a beach gazebo, a volleyball, a soccer ball, and a frescobol set. Don’t know what frescobol is? Well, you’re gonna have to come to learn. That’s what we play on the beaches of Rio. I forgot it the last time we had a beach day, but I’ll remember it this time!
Bring a cooler, a surfboard, a boogie board, a skimboard, or any board or anything else you want!
Our spot will be near Lifeguard Tower 26, at the end of Ocean Park Ave. I’ll send my number to the going list in case you don’t have it, so you can call me if you can’t find me.
Sorry, no kids. We already have our inner child, and that’s trouble enough!
Now, supposedly, Santa Monica does not allow dogs on the sand, but from my experience, they don’t really enforce it, so if you want to bring furry kids, you’re probably OK.
All right, see you at the beach!
Eduardo
