Supporters of biohacking argue that individuals should have the freedom to experiment with their own biology in pursuit of better health, performance and longevity. They claim that advances in wearable technology, genetic testing and nutrition science allow people to take greater control of their wellbeing, often driving innovation more quickly than traditional institutions. From this perspective, responsible biohacking encourages self-improvement and scientific curiosity.

Critics, however, warn that biohacking can promote unregulated and potentially dangerous practices, particularly when individuals experiment without proper medical oversight. They argue that exaggerated claims, online misinformation and a lack of long-term research may put people at risk. In their view, enthusiasm for optimisation should not outpace safety, ethics and evidence-based medicine.

Join us on 24 March 2026 at the Windsor Castle pub for drinks and discussion as we debate the motion: This House Would Support The Use of Biohacking

First half: Improvised mini-debates – all are welcome to speak.
Second half: Prepared speeches, followed by floor contributions – an opportunity to share your views.

During the main debate, 3 debaters will propose the motion, 3 debaters will oppose it, and YOU may give your opinion during Floor Contributions.

The meeting will be held on the first floor of the Windsor Castle pub in Victoria, a beautiful Victorian pub with great food, drinks prices. Make sure to give the code word: Debate Club!
